Stats:
Harpeth River MM 153 to Nashville, TN MM 191. 38 Miles

We arrived in Nashville in the early afternoon.  It had been raining but by the time we arrived the sun was shining.  We docked, plugged in the hydro and headed out to explore.

This is a VIBRANT town.  We are parked at the municipal dock and just up one flight of stairs we are right in the thick of it:  a long line of honky-tonks, restaurants, bars, street musicians etc.  In most of the bars there are cover bands playing for tips.

Following the footstepsof Johnny Cash and the boys into Tootsie's

We visited Tootsie's, a bar that backs onto the Alley behind the old Grand 'ol opry.  All the greats, like Johny Cash, Willy Nelson, etc. would hang out at Tootsie's between sets and then head across the alley to the back doors of the Opry to go on stage.  There are symbolic footsteps in the pavement to mark their path.

We came back to the boat to shower,  eat, rest and get ready to go back to the main drag tonight for some more fun and music.

Our backyard for tonight.
