We've been taking a marina break. We're tied up here at Turner Marina on Mobile Bay, Alabama, working on boat projects, socializing and taking little day trips. Jeff has been working through his ToDo list. I've been working through a thorough cleaning of the boat.
Yesterday we visited Dauphin Island and took in the sights with Jim and Mimi from Perfect Balance. Today, we're not sure yet. Jeff is back in the hole in the floor working on the bilge pump, I've got fresh muffins baked and we'll let the day unfold as it will. That's the cruising life.
We visited the petting tank at Dauphin Island. There were several very friendly stingrays (with the barbs removed) and one little shark. The stingrays are so used to being pet they act like little dogs, vying for attention, begging to be rubbed.
We visited an old fort. We were too cheap to pay the admission to go in but there was lots to see outside.
A natural gas off-shore drill. They send the natural gas to shore via pipeline.
Beautiful beaches! We're going through a cold spell right now, getting close to freezing temperatures at night and in the sixties during the day, which I find very comfortable. You can always tell the Canadians. We're the ones in shorts while the locals are wearing thick jackets and long pants! Next week it's supposed to warm up.

Hey there you two. We are enjoying the updates. But I seem to have missed seeing the hickey scores. Lol
Which leads from hockey to ice to snow on the ground here Lovely.
Hi from southern Ontario. We're enjoying following your great adventure. All the pictures and comments are great.
Ps I'm not sure if you ever told us why your engine and generator quit a few weeks back.
Anyway keep enjoying the loop we love being part of the adventure.
Mark the issue was driver error. The fuel gauge showed 1/4 but the pick up tube on that tank does not reach the bottom. I was not carrying any additional fuel the prime the fuel filter. Lesson learned.
