Cycled 12 miles to Wrigley Field to watch a ball game
The path we are docked beside stretches quite a way along the water front. Today we cycled to Wrigley Field and watched the Chicago Cubs lose to the L.A. Dodgers while gorging on beer and hotdogs. It was just a gorgeous ride there, twenty-two degrees, a slight breeze, brilliant blue sky. It couldn't have been lovelier. We watched most of the game, well Jeff did, I mostly explored and tried to follow. Notice the bleachers set up on the tops of the surrounding buildings. We left near a little early, to miss the traffic as we were on bikes, and stopped a little ways away to watch the end of the game from a big screen at a bar. Clayton Kershaw pitched his Major League leading 20th win in a 14-5 victory. It was pretty special that we got to visit during there 100th year anniversary celebrations.
