Green Turtle Marina, day two.

Tuesday, October 14, 2014

Stats:
Zero.  Work day.

So with me on laundry duty (pretty much everything that can be washed, has been washed) and my talented guy on repair duty, we're back in business.  Jeff was able to complete all the repairs himself with the exception of the impeller.  He chose to have a mechanic do that while he watched so he can do it himself next time.  He wanted to make sure it was done right.

Green Turtle Bay Marina is a very popular spot with Loopers and we are here docked amongst a long line of them.  It's great fun to wander up and down the dock, getting to know folks, trading stories etc.

Note the boat beside us.  It is HUGE.  He goes right up to the front of the dock and hangs out behind it. Where we have our bikes parked on the flybridge, he has a full street legal motorcycle.  We feel like a dingy beside him.  We're not sure who's aboard, as they seem to stick to themselves, but Jeff saw a dude come out in the cockpit and pitch an entire roasted chicken overboard. Then go back inside.  Seriously.  You see it all.

It's been cold and rainy today and that weather pattern is supposed to hold for tomorrow so we figure our Green Turtle time is done.  We might as well be travelling.  We have the courtesy car booked for the morning for some shopping.  Then a bit of fuel, a pump-out and we're outta here, with our bow pointed South.
