Somewhere on the Cumberland River, Tennessee

Monday, October 6, 2014

Stats:
Clarksville TN to an anchorage on Harpeth River (MM 153 on the Cumberland). 27 Miles

Today was a short day.  It was raining during the night and into the early morning so we slept in and let it finish.

We enjoyed a nice slow morning, the guys went out for breakfast and to shop in a local discount hardware store.  I baked muffins and later went for a walk with Susan and Lowla.

The sun came out and we cast off, headed to an anchorage we had read about.  We went through one lock and noticed the water was much higher on the other side making things look much more pastoral.

We found our anchorage and they weren't kidding.  Wow!  What a beautiful spot!!  It almost reminded me of being home!  We explored a bit by dingy and had an early night.

                                                                                    Our backyard tonight.

Exploring in the Dingy with Danny, Susan and Lola.

They are expecting thunder storms tomorrow and we need to hit a marina to at least fill up our water tanks, so we'll see how the day unfolds.

Good safety reminder but they might want to double-check the math.
